FACT SHEET

Women In Management (WIM) Scholarship, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 charity that was formed in 1989 to offer scholarships to women in the Connecticut and New York areas who are pursuing a higher education. To date, WIM Scholarship has granted over $80,000 in scholarships.

WIM Scholarship, Inc. supports two scholarship programs:

  • The WIM Scholarship of $3,000 for one (1) year is awarded to a woman who faces significant hurdles, of either an economic or personal nature, that hinders her ability to finance her continuing education. Candidates must have completed at least sixty (60) credit hours of undergraduate study before applying. Candidates studying for a graduate level degree are also eligible to apply. Candidates should have residence in Fairfield or Westchester County.
      
  • $3,000 for one (1) year is awarded to a woman who faces significant hurdles, of either an economic or personal nature, that hinders their ability to finance their continuing education. Candidates must have completed at least sixty (60) credit hours of undergraduate study before applying. Candidates studying for a graduate level degree are also eligible to apply.

    Without exception, candidates must have demonstrated academic excellence and are frequently leaders in social or charitable organizations. Scholarship winners may use the scholarship funds for elder or childcare, transportation, tuition, fees, and books.The WIM Scholarship application can be downloaded from the WIM website.
      
  • The Aspire Scholarship is awarded to highly motivated, high achieving high school senior girls from Westhill High School in Stamford, Connecticut. This young woman must attend college in the fall and have demonstrable need for scholarship support. The scholarship is for $2,000 for one (1) year.
