A HELPING HAND
FROM
WOMEN IN MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
Stamford, CT, Febuary 1, 2006 - Women
In Management (WIM) Scholarship, Inc. is soliciting applications for its
scholarship program for the 2006-2007 academic year.
WIM Scholarship, Inc. was formed in 1991 to offer scholarships to women
in the Connecticut and New York areas who are pursuing a higher
education. To date, WIM Scholarship has granted over $50,000 in
scholarships and is now offering a $3,000 scholarship for the 2006-7
academic year.
Qualified scholarship candidates must be faced with significant hurdles,
of either an economic or personal nature, that hinders their ability to
finance their continuing education. Candidates must have completed sixty
(60) credit hours of undergraduate study before applying. Candidates
studying for a graduate level degree are also eligible to apply.
Without exception, candidates must have demonstrated academic excellence
and are frequently leaders in social or charitable organizations.
Scholarship winners may use the scholarship funds for elder or
childcare, transportation, tuition, fees, and books.
“The WIM Scholarship Fund is one way that we lend a helping hand and
support women’s aspirations. Scholarship applications, which can be
downloaded from the WIM website, must be submitted by March 15, 2006,”
said Linda Kuppersmith, President of WIM Scholarship, Inc. “The
scholarship award will be presented at WIM’s annual meeting in June
2006,” she added.
